Aisha's Story

A Mother to Many

Aisha Rahman walks through the halls of the Al-Amanah Orphanage in Dhaka, Bangladesh, her heart full of love for the 47 children under her care. As the director of this small but vital institution, she has dedicated her life to providing a safe haven for children who have lost everything.

Each child has a story that breaks her heart - little Zara, who lost her parents in a flood; brothers Omar and Yusuf, whose father died in a factory accident; and Amina, found abandoned as a baby. “These children are my family now,” Aisha says with tears in her eyes.

The Daily Struggle

Running an orphanage on limited resources is a constant challenge. Before Qurbani Aid, Aisha struggled to provide adequate nutrition for the children. “We could only afford rice and vegetables most days,” she recalls. “The children were growing, but they weren't growing strong.”

A Transformative Partnership

When Qurbani Aid first approached Aisha about providing regular meat distribution to the orphanage, she was overwhelmed with gratitude. “I couldn't believe that someone cared enough about our children to provide them with such nutritious food,” she says.

Today, the impact is visible in every child's face. Zara has gained weight and confidence. Omar and Yusuf are excelling in school. Little Amina is growing at a healthy rate. “The children are more energetic, more focused in their studies, and they have hope for their future,” Aisha says proudly.

Dreams for the Future

With proper nutrition, the children are not just surviving - they're thriving. Many dream of becoming doctors, teachers, and engineers. “They believe they can achieve anything,” Aisha says. “And with the support of Qurbani Aid, they have the strength to pursue their dreams.”
